Zieglers

With designs influenced by the Arts/Crafts movement and their faded elegance looks, these top quality hand knotted rugs bring a classic style to any room.

Khurjeen Rugs

The word khurjeen means saddlebag in dari/farsi,the rugs are woven by Turkmen and hazara tribes in central and northern provinces of Afghanistan. The designs are taken from saddle bags mixing contemporary and traditional designs together.they are woven to a very high standard with only the very best wool yarns . sizes available, runners 6ft 10ft plus, oblong rugs 5x3,6x4 ,8x5, 10x7 plus.

Persians

Classic handknotted geometric and floral designed top quality pieces, Persian rugs/carpets are recognised as the ultimate floorcovering whose desirability is timeless. The finest qualities are woven in cities such as Isphahan Keshan, Tabriz etc whilst town and village weavers provide a huge variety of qualities and designs. Sizes range from 120x70 up to oversize pieces of 6mx4m and beyond! A typical mid range rug of 240x170 will cost from £600-£1000 whilst a 360x274 £2000-£3000.

Tribal

Mainly woven by the Qashqai and Luri tribes these rugs depict the nomadic lifestyle of their weavers, with animals, birds and flowers often depicted.Luri rugs tend to be bold geometric designs that can look stunning in a modern setting whilst Belouchi pieces feature all manner of colours/designs mainly in smaller sizes and possibly offer the best value for money of all Persian rugs. Sizes range from approx 150x90 - 3mx2m with a piece of 120x180 priced at £400 and 240x160 £850-£1100

Bhokaras

Bhokara rugs and carpets are hand woven in Pershawar using top quality New Zealand wool, in a full range of colours/sizes including runners and room-size......... the design popularly known as Elephants footprint has stood the test of time and is used in both modern and traditional situations to stunning effect. Sizes range from 90x60cms right up to oversize incl 183x120 - 240x150 - 366x274 with runners also available,a typical fine Bhokara @183x120 is approx £300 and a 366x274 £1500.

Afghans

Afghans are traditionally hand woven in very hard wearing local wool to a simplistic geometric Gul design, nearly always in a rich red and deep blue colourway which brings a warm  inviting feel to any location. The Khal Mohammadi pieces are woven very much finer than the basic Afghan and tend colourwise towards the rusty/terra-cotta shades. Sizes vary tremendously with tiny "pushtis" (mats) available,and runners/roomsize also produced, typically 183x100,240x150 3x2m etc...... an approximate price for a 240x150 Red Afghan is £350 whilst the Khal Mohammadi is £575.
